[jira] [Updated] (APEXMALHAR-2537) POM bundling issue in apex-malhar/kafka/kafka010

JIRA jira@apache.org

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/APEXMALHAR-2537?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]

Vinay Bangalore Srikanth updated APEXMALHAR-2537:
-------------------------------------------------
    Description:
This error is seen in the file - *_org.apache.apex.malhar.kafka.AbstractKafkaInputOperator cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files_*

Even though, I have included this in the pom.xml

    <dependency>
      <groupId>org.apache.apex</groupId>
      <artifactId>malhar-kafka010</artifactId>
      <version>3.8.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
      <exclusions>
        <exclusion>
          <groupId>*</groupId>
          <artifactId>*</artifactId>
        </exclusion>
      </exclusions>
    </dependency>

I had to add this explicitly to resolve -

<dependency>
      <groupId>org.apache.apex</groupId>
      <artifactId>malhar-kafka-common</artifactId>
      <version>3.8.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
      <exclusions>
        <exclusion>
          <groupId>org.apache.kafka</groupId>
          <artifactId>kafka_2.11</artifactId>
        </exclusion>
      </exclusions>
    </dependency>

However, I don't see such issue with -

<dependency>
         <groupId>org.apache.apex</groupId>
        <artifactId>malhar-kafka</artifactId>
        <version>${malhar.version}</version>
        <exclusions>
           <exclusion>
            <groupId>*</groupId>
            <artifactId>*</artifactId>
         </exclusion>
       </exclusions>
  </dependency>
